PIP means "picture in picture". It is generally used to refer to a multi-window mode of shrinking a running video player to allow multitasking. Lately, PIP has been appearing in a few mobile video editing software; it basically lets you add another media file to the main media file.
Pip Camera 2022 takes inspiration from these concepts to develop this editing app. It seems to give a rather artistic perspective on the concept, however -
When you upload a photo to the platform, you are given templates with very artsy methods of focusing on this upload - and like the PIP concept for video playback, this app first duplicates your photo and then shrinks the point of focus, while blurring the background version. The unique touches this app had explored include - a wine glass perspective, or else looking at the main focus through a clear wine glass; a clear heart bauble POV - where the focus is set at the center, while a blurred background completes the piece.
Other features consist of text stickers and photo filters.
